At SMX Toronto 2010, we sat in on one session called Link Building Strategies and Ranking Tactics, where the panelists discussed ways to build links back to your site without paying for them. One of those panelists was Dawn Wentzell from Outspoken Media.
After the session, we got to sit down with Dawn and walk about how link building practices are evolving, and what are some of the more effective ways to build links these days. Dawn places a lot of emphasis on how content-based link building has started playing a more important role, and that using content as link-bait has a lot of potential.
