Account manager

The Account Manager is the primary contact and ultimate point of accountability with NVI clients.  This is a heavy client management and strategic development role. You need to build relationships, understand your clients' needs, provide strategic thinking and be instrumental in delivering the right solution. You are ultimately responsible for the entire client relationship, from setting expectations to the delivery on those expectations. To succeed, you'll need to; understand the client's pain points, business objectives, marketing plan and objectives; build out the strategic approach to reach/exceed their goals; oversee each deliverable including setting client expectations and ensuring the NVI team is delivering against those expectations.  So, while the end-goal is the long-term development of the relationship and growing the account, you'll need to make sure that the client is completely satisfied with NVI from day one of the engagement.

 

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing a portfolio of accounts.
  • Ensure efficient and effective communications.
  • Build strong, positive long-term client relationships by understanding current and future business issues, markets, competition, and audiences.
  • Set-up and attend meetings, presenting project approaches.
  • Handle integrated client results across all relevant solutions/ services.
  • Craft appropriate strategies and identify/implement tactics that help achieve client objectives.
  • Ensure communications, reports, presentations, and deliverables are of the highest standard, meeting client commercial needs.
  • Understand strategy behind deliverables and provide insight and management in eliciting appropriate client feedback.
  • Prepares marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account data.
  • Measure the profitability of every account and project.

 

SALES RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with Departmental heads to building long-term strategic relationships with existing and new clients.
  • Actively identify revenue opportunities including suggesting cross/upsell solutions that extend and improve our project and retainer deliverables.
  • Proactively communicate and interpret industry trends and issues to clients.
  • Work with client(s) to uncover business needs and objectives.

 

PROJECT MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure efficient and effective project coordination with the NVI team
  • Respect deadlines and production budget
  • Create (and sometimes assign) tasks associated to a client.
  • Orchestrate cross functional teams to achieve strong client results.
  • Work with Departmental heads to ensure appropriate resources are available.
  • Co-ordinate delivery of multiple products/services to the client.
  • Clarify client briefs to understand requirements, deliverables, end goals and risks. Communicate these effectively to internal teams.
  • Identify and share client feedback, account knowledge, and internal learning at internal project and post-delivery assessments.
  • Participate in client briefs meeting
  • Organise, manage  and lead kicks-off meeting
  • Building the specification chart (dev) and the annual marketing plan (marketing)
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
  • Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Agency experience (2 years+)
  • Internet marketing work experience
  • BA/BS or College Diploma (Marketing/Business/Advertising preferred)
  • Bilingual is a plus
  • Full time position located in Montreal or Toronto
