With 2010 now here, we can expect to see Google release Caffeine. And as Jim Boykin pointed out, more diverse content such as a press releases seems to factor in more importantly with the new search algorithm.

Well, in this clip, we speak with Jiyan Wei from Jiyan explores how to get content to rank in Google News, and touches on two interesting points. First, he relates how has noticed a 24-48 hour news and blended search results life-cycle, where it’s easier for content to rank for the first few days after it’s been indexed. Second, Jiyan shares how the format of a press release can get it either included or excluded from the Google News search results.
